I made 32 of these to give away and although they look quite complicated to make, they're really not. Yes... there are quite a number of steps to making them, but the over all, faceted technique, isn't really complicated... It's just folding lines one way and other lines, the other way. (You'll see what I mean in the video.)
Anyway, I made the mistake in thinking that I could hand out my treat packages without including "how-to" instructions and BOY, was I WRONG! Right after the "Thank You" was: "How did you make this?" "Do you have a Tutorial?" Honestly... I was SO focused on getting them completed in time, that I didn't even think about a tutorial. LOL! Yes, I completed them, very late, the night before.
Well, it didn't end that day. I have received emails/ FB messages/ customer leads/ comments etc, all inquiring on how I made them. So... I decided that the easiest way to share this with you is with a video tutorial! Now, I'm by no means a professional when it comes to video tutorials, as I've only done a handful over the years. So please be kind, forgive my stumbles and lost of memory for product names. (LOL! I think it's just a guarantee for demonstrators that if you're videoing, you will automatically forget the names!)
In my video I refer to my template, which I promised to post, so here you go:
Well... I think I covered everything. So here you go! Enjoy!
Oh! I forgot... I had played around with the colouring of my pineapple (just using ink and a sponge dauber on the outside), trying to make it a little more realistic... it was cute and everything... but it wasn't what I was going for. but I thought I would share it with you anyway, just incase it inspires you!
