Fancy Folds Blog Hop: Wiper Card

Hello and Welcome to another Fancy Folds Blog Hop! We are an International team of Stampin' Up! Demonstrators, who have come together to showcase different folding projects each month. Today our design team is excited to showcase the Wiper Card.

If you're already hopping then you just came from the Talented Satomi Wellard's blog. If you're just joining, no problem! Just use the "Next" Button below and hop all the way around!

The wiper card! If you've never seen or heard of it before, it is a CRAZY EASY card to create. The dimensions are easy, the folds are easy and even assembly is easy (in my opinion). But don't be mistaken, this is a super fun card, all you do is pull on either end and a little wiper pops up from the middle.  If you're interested in creating one yourself, click HERE for the video I learned it from.

For my card today I used the Dragon Fly Dreams stamp set, along with the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlit Dies and the EVER so beautiful: Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper (SWOON). I must admit, my card may look a little plain when it's closed, as all I have is DSP and ribbon on the front, but the paper was SO beautiful that I didn't feel it needed anything else.

My main colour combo is Pool Party (cardstock, ink), Pear Pizzazz (ink) and Tranquil Tide (cardstock, ink, marker, and ribbon).

For this wiper card (as I made another one quite recently, you can check it out HERE), I used a piece of Window Sheet for my wiper arm. I wanted to make it look like the dragonfly was flying out of the card. It turned out cute, but you will need to use a stronger adhesive, to keep the window sheet attach.  After several repairs, I have concluded that red sticky strip is the way to go. You can find it in most big box craft stores.

Well, thanks for stopping in, I hope you like my take on the Wiper Card. Next up is the Talented Shannean Moncrieff. Enjoy the rest of the hop and happy creating as always!
