ADT Display Stamper Blog Hop: Day 3

Our hops feature NEW products that will be in the 2017-2018 Idea Book & Catalogue, so make to sure to join us for all 10 hops! Missed a day? Check out: DAY 1, DAY 2

If you're already hopping then you just came from the Talented Maike Ulbrich's blog. If you're just joining, no problem! Just follow the button below and hop all the way around!
My project today, once again (sorry!), features the NEW photopolymer stamp set: Fabulous Flamingo. The 12 piece, 2 step, photopolymer stamp set.

For this card I stamped Mr. Flamingo on watercolour cardstock with Basic Black ink. I then coloured him and his surroundings with my aqua painter using Powder Pink, So Saffron, Crumb Cake, Soft Sky, Lemon Lime Twist, and Old Olive ink. But that’s not the fun part…

The fun part is the background! The background is NOT a DSP! Nope! It’s the NEW Glossy cardstock! Stampin’ Up! use to have glossy cardstock a LONG time ago and my favourite technique to do with it then, was to stamp an image on it with versamark and then brayer overtop of it with ink… so that’s exactly what I did: I repeatedly stamped the leaf in versamark and then rolled Lemon Lime Twist all over it! I think it turned out great and it’s such an easy technique.
To finish my card off and to allow other demo’s to see the glossy background, I clipped the layers together with the gold binder clipped and added a cut up, In Colour Bitty Bow!

Thanks for hopping in today. Enjoy the rest of the hop and join us tomorrow for another sneak peek hop. Up next is the Talented Paula Dobson!
