So, my designated stamp set was: Any Occasion...
and by the look of my project, you probably think I've lost my mind...
I haven't...
well...
Not fully... yet.
But If you have younger children, then you know exactly what this is all about: Good ol'Minecraft! It's a video game that is made up of blocks and allows you to build, dig and create to your heart's content! My boys are OBSESSED with it. In fact, if they haven't mentioned it at some point in the day, I start to wonder if they're coming down with something! HA!
So it's really no wonder that I was drawn immediately to the teeny, weeny, itsy, bitsy, little block image in this set. It's actually suppose to be the bottom of a birthday present, but I couldn't help but think of all the fun Minecraft things I could do with it. So, I went for it and created little treat boxes that would be perfect for any Minecraft party.
The three boxes you see are the iconic "ground block", the "TNT block" and then a Creeper's head, but trust me, I could have kept going. The possibilities are endless.
The great thing about the way I stamped these, is that, you don't have to be perfect in your stamping. Seriously! Stamping around the outer edges and giving just the "idea" of the block texture, means you don't need to worry if your lines, line up. I will admit though... that I did dosome serious Stamp-A-Ma-Jigging with the "TNT" letters and the Creeper's Face, but that's only because I wanted them spaced apart, but that's it.
One piece of advice for this project: use a NON permanent black ink, such as Momento. It is soooo much easier to stamp the tiny squares together if you can see through the stamp... and yes, I learned this the hard way. Lol
