Stamp Review Crew: Lift Me Up

Hello and Welcome to another Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop! This week's featured stamp set is Lift Me Up!

If you're already hopping, then you've just come from the Talented Bruno Bertucci's Blog. If you're just joining, No Problem! Start here and follow the buttons below!

Today I'm sharing a Pop Up Box Card that I created with the Lift Me Up stamp set. It is the perfect stamp set to create a 3D scenery with and the Pop Up Box Card is the perfect card format to display it!
Wanna know why?
Because it folds flat... into an envelope!
How fun is that!?!

It does present a little bit of a challenge when designing, as you need to consider how it looks when it's closed and when it's open. But I'm always up to a challenge, so I didn't mind!
My colour combo is Watermelon Wonder (cardstock & ink), Peek-a-Boo Peach (cardstock & ink), Soft Sky (cardstock & ink), Mint Macaron (cardstock & ink), Whisper White (cardstock) and Night of Navy (baker's twine)

To cut all my elements out, the clouds and hot air balloons, I used the coordinating "Up & Away Thinlits"

I also used the coordinating Sale-A-Bration DSP: Carried Away! Everything goes so well together.

Thanks for hopping in today, I hope you enjoyed my card. Next up is the Talented Valerie Moody's Blog. Enjoy the rest of the hop!

Stampin' Up! Artisan Design Team Blog Hop: Lift Me Up!

Hello and welcome to another Artisan Design Team Blog Hop. This week we are featuring the stamp set: Lift Me Up!

If you're already hopping, then you've just come from the Talented Maike Ulbrich's Blog. If you're just joining, No Problem! Start here and follow around with the button below!

For today's project, I created a wall hanging for a little kids room. I must admit though, that it didn't turn out as well as I had hoped... But you win some and you lose some... but at least I gave it a shot.

Even though this may not be one of my better projects, I hope it will inspire someone. Maybe they'll be able to figure out what's missing from it.

My colour combo today is, well... RAINBOW! I mean, that's the best way to describe it. I used: Soft Sky (cardstock, ink), Whisper White (cardstock), Real Red (cardstock, ink), Tangerine Tango (cardstock, ink), Pumpkin Pie (cardstock, ink), Daffodil Delight (cardstock, ink), Old Olive (cardstock, ink), Tempting Turquoise (cardstock, ink), Pacific Point (cardstock, ink), Rich Razzleberry (cardstock, ink), Soft Suede (cardstock, ink), and Basic Black (ink).

To add a little interest, I thought it would be cute to mount my pictures on embroidery hoops, keeping with the round and balloon like. If I were to try this project again, I would probably trim my paper right off, instead of folding it over the inner hoop... There is a bit of a gap between them, that irks me.

Well Thanks for hopping in. Next up is the Talented Mercedes Weber's Blog! Enjoy the rest of the hop!

Sealed with... a SMOOCH!

Hello, hello.

Me again.

No hopping around today!

It's just me, myself, and I, sharing a little ol'card I made.

This card was actually created for my first Artisan hop. I wasn't sure if my first creation (which you can see here) was good enough, so I went on to create this one. Obviously, I went with the other one but I thought you might like to see this one as well.

This one is a little more in line with the Sending Love Suite that is available right now in the 2017 Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalogue. It's the traditional, red & white, just like the "Sending Love DSP". It uses the "Sending Love Embellishments". It shows off the "Sending Love Glassine Sheets" and it screams "Love" all over it, with the "Sealed with Love Stamp Set".

My colour combo is Whisper White (cardstock), Real Red (cardstock & ink) and Basic Black (cardstock & ink).
One of my favourite stamp images from this set is the lips. They are perfect for the little envelopes that you can create with the "Love Notes Framelits". They're so adorable and I love how I was able to hide the actual word "kiss" with a kiss!

Thanks for stopping in, I hope you're having a lovely "Love" Day. Until next time... Happy Creating!

Fancy Folds Blog Hop: Peek-a-boo Flap Card

Hello and Welcome to another Fancy Folds Blog Hop! We are an International team of Stampin' Up! demonstrators, who have come together to showcase different folding projects each month. Today our design team is excited to showcase the Peek-a-Boo Flap Card. To learn this fold I watched THIS VIDEO by team member: France Martin

Today my Peek-a-Boo Flap Card features the fun stamp set: Everyday Hero. As soon as I saw this set, I knew I had to have it! I have 2 little boys who are totally into superheroes, it was a MUST-HAVE!

I love all the images in this stamp set: the male and female hero, the comic book elements and especially the cape on a hanger! Even superheroes need to rest!

My colour combo is Tempting Turquoise (ink, cardstock, marker), Real Red (cardstock, marker), Daffodil Delight (cardstock, marker), Crushed Curry (ink), Basic Black (cardstock, Momento ink),
and Whisper White (cardstock).

Thanks for hopping in, I hope you enjoyed my take on the Peek-a-Boo Flap card. Up next is the Talented Shannean Moncrieff's Blog. Enjoy!

Stamp Review Crew: Sunshine Sayings

Hello and Welcome to another Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop! This week's featured stamp set is Sunshine Sayings!

If you're already hopping, then you've just come from the Talented Linda Callahan's Blog. If you're just joining, No Problem! Start here and follow the buttons below!

For today's card, I actually pulled out my embossing powders and played! I love heat embossing, and of course, all the different looks and techniques you can accomplish with it. But for some reason, I just don't tend to reach for them very often.

The Sunshine Sayings stamp set comes with a ton of words that you can combine together or with the coordinating thinlits: Sunshine Wishes. But It also has a flower, a leaf, a stem and a paint wash. So I decided to focus on the flower more then the words. I stamped the flower, leaf and stem in Versamark onto Whisper White cardstock and heat embossed with Clear Embossing Powder. I then used sponge daubers and ink and coloured over top.
My colour combo is Whisper White (cardstock), Tangerine Tango (cardstock, ink), Daffodil Delight (cardstock, ink), Pear Pizzaz (ink), and Old Olive (ink). I also used the Sending Love Glassine Sheets and Lace Doilies for my background.

One little tip with the glassine sheets: Make sure to wash your hands before handling, especially if you've been having a long stamping session. There is a couple of spots that appeared later on my card and they look like finger prints, so the glassine sheet must have picked up the oils off my hands. Incase you're wondering... I did photo edit the marks in my pictures so they weren't distracting (I didn't have time to recreate the card), but if you take a good look you can still see where the marks were.

Thank you for hopping in, enjoy the rest of the hop and as always, Happy Creating!

Up next is the Talented Sue Plote's Blog! Enjoy!
