Stamp Review Crew: Swirly Bird

Hello and Welcome to another Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop! This week's featured stamp set is: Swirly Bird

If you're already hopping, then you've just come from the Talented Nikki Spencer's Blog . If you're just joining me, No Problem! Start here and follow the buttons below!

This stamp set was a must have for me when it was first released. I absolutely LOVED the idea of the bird and it's swirly nest, along with cute little eggs and coordinating thinlits: Swirly Scribbles. It was the bundle to have!

I still love it and I've played a lot with that little bird, his eggs and his nest... I even decorated his nest with some pretty flowers and leaves...but  I haven't really played around with the other components of the stamp set. So, that was my mission with today's card. I decided to go with the boat. Such a cute little boat. I could see this being used  for a little baby card or baby shower.

My colour combo today is Soft Sky, Crushed Curry, Real Red, and Soft Suede, all on Shimmery White Cardstock.

To create my waves, I used the die cut of the "wavy" thinlit (from the coordinating thinlits: Swirly Scribbles), and sponge daubed over top with Soft Sky Ink.

Thanks for Hopping in, Next up is the Talented Kelly Kent's Blog! Enjoy the rest of the hop!

  13. I agree, Martha. Perfect for a baby card, but also works for a masculine birthday card of any age! I haven't yet used the boat stamp either. You've inspired me!
