Stamp Review Crew: Playful Pals

Hello and Welcome to another Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop! This week's featured stamp set is: Playful Pals!

If you're already hopping, then you've just come from the Talented Yapha Mason's Blog. If your just joining me, No Problem! Start here and follow the buttons below!

So, I must admit that I was a little,  um... stressed about this blog hop... for 1. I hadn't even crack this stamp set open (I know, I know, Horrible!)
and 2. When I create ( If I haven't procrastinated, of course...), I like to create something new and different. Something people haven't seen before...  But there are SO MANY awesome projects out there already, that I had no idea what I was going to create.
So I started to think about everything I had seen... and I looked at all the different stamp images... and asked myself: is there anything that the stamp images make me think of, that I haven't seen yet? Well... the circles made me think of a caterpillar, and as I was playing around with the design of my caterpillar, I thought: o-mi-goodness! The hungry caterpillar! and my idea was born!

In "The Hungry Caterpillar" story, the caterpillar eats through all sorts of different foods, including a piece of Swiss Cheese. So I used the coordinating thinlits: Pyramid Pals and created a little treat package resembling one. These would be the cutest little party favours at a Hungry Caterpillar themed birthday party, don't you think?

The colours I used in my project are: Real Red (ink), Daffodil Delight (cardstock), So Saffron (ink, cardstock), Garden Green (ink, cardstock), Old Olive (ink), Pear Pizzazz (ink), Perfect Plum (cardstock), Soft Suede (cardstock), and Basic Black (ink, marker).

I know that some of you will be curious on how I created this little guy, so to save you from reading a novel's worth of instructions, I included a little visual chart below. I hope this helps and is much easier to use, then ready through a ton of instructions.

Thank you for hopping in today! I hope you enjoyed my project using the Playful Pals stamp set. Up next is the Talented Betty Traciak's Blog! Make sure to hop all the way around to see all the wonderful ideas. Happy Creating!

  4. Oh my goodness, this is amazing! I just built this caterpillar using the curvy keepsakes die! I think this is more true to the style and the eyes sure worked out better than mine - but my resources were a bit more limited using the dies and the stamp sets I own! Pure genius, love it.
