Fancy Folds Blog Hop: Lever Card

Hello and Welcome to another Fancy Folds Blog Hop! We are a team of Stampin' Up! demonstrators, who have come together to showcase different folding projects each month. Today our design team is excited to showcase the Lever card.

If you're already hopping then you just came from the Talented Delphine Lorelli's Blog. If you're just joining me, no problem! Just use the "Next" Button below and hop all the way around!

This was a fun card to make and I love how the front flips to the inside.

For today's card I really, really wanted to feature one of my many new stamp sets from the New 2016 - 2017 Idea Book & Catalogue but "No Bones About It" was calling out to me, so I had to run with it and I'm really glad I did.

My Son is wanting a "Dino Dan" themed birthday party... It's a Canadian TV show about a dino obsessed boy named Dan. Dan see's Dinosaurs in today's modern world and goes on many adventures studying them. So I decided to let "Dino Dan" be my inspiration for today's card. It inspired my colour combo of Old Olive, Sahara Sand, Basic Grey, Soft Suede, and Basic Black: very natured focused.

On the inside of my card, my Dino has something BIG to say and the lever card really helps it stand out... Oh, and you know, the new stamp set: Letters For You!!! Have you seen this set? I absolutely loved it on first sight. I'll admit that the bundle is a bit of an investment, but it's so worth it! I mean... what little boy is not going to love a card with a huge RAWR in it!?!

Soo... are you thinking my dino is backwards? Well, if you are, then you would be correct. I really wanted my dino facing in the direction of the RAWR... as if he was saying it... So I stamped him on a window sheet and flipped him over. Voila, done and done!

To finish my card off, I added in one more "Dinosaur" feature! A giant bite! I love all the different scallop size circles that comes in the new Layering Circle Framelits, making the bite really easy to create!

If you're wanting to create a Lever card for yourself, HERE is the video I watched for instructions.

Thank you for Hopping in, I hope you enjoyed my take on the lever card. Up next is the talented France Martin's blog! Enjoy the rest of the hope and Happy Creating!
