Hello and Welcome to another Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop! This week's featured stamp set is: Blended Bloom!

If you're already hopping, then you've just come from the Talented Jennifer Timko's Blog. If your just joining me, No Problem! Start here and follow the buttons below!

So I must admit that I haven't used this stamp in a loooong time... Not because I didn't like it, (I used it A LOT before... ) but when the Blendabilities were discontinued, it just kind of lost it's magic for me.

I'll be honest: I struggled a bit, trying to create for today's hop. I tried to mimic my 3D flower with coloured cardstock, blender pen and coordinating ink, but as I was nearing the end of it's assembly, I realized that it wasn't much of a WOW (or even close to one) for the amount of work it took to create it... so, yeah, in the trash it went. I just had to admit that the magic I once created with this flower was gone...

Once I admitted to myself that I just couldn't do, what I once did, I did a complete 180 with my creative thinking... instead of trying to figure out how I was going to colour it in, I decided to figure out how I could create with it... WITHOUT colouring it in. Use it for what it is: a beautiful detailed image. Once I did that, things got better. I still struggled a little, as I'm not fully satisfied with my card, but I'm a lot happier with it, then that - too much work, unimpressive flower, I was first working on.

My colour combo for today is Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Mint Macaron, and Calypso Coral. I stamped my image in Mint Macaron Ink onto Whisper White cardstock. I added 2 strips of It's my Party Washi Tape and a strip of Pretty Petals DSP cut out with a die from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies . My greeting is Crumb Cake and from the Greetings Thinlits. I added a strip of Whisper White Bakers Twine and I created a coordinating, Calypso Coral envelope with the Envelope Punch Board.

Well, Thanks for stopping in. Next up is the Talented Kelly Kent's Blog. Enjoy the rest of the hop!

  1. I feel your struggle. Sometimes we get stuck in a train of thought for a stamp set, and it takes some work to get our creative thoughts to go in a new direction. Good job featuring this stamp in a different light!
