Sparkly Season Treats

Happy Monday everyone! It's the week before Halloween and I'm busy creating costumes for my boys! One wants to be a puppy and the other: a dinosaur! It's been a lot of fun crafting up a storm and using all sorts of mediums, however, DO NOT stop by my house right now... It's a disaster... everywhere!

Today I'm sharing a cute little Halloween treat that I made with my local group home ladies! I get together once a month with these wonderful ladies and this month I decided that we would create some cute Halloween treats that they could give to their friends and family when they visit. Each lady made 12. 4 of each character.

(Please excuse the poor photos... I took them with my phone and then gave them away before taking proper ones.Oh well, that's how it goes some times.)

The bottoms are our 1" x 8" Cello bags filled with candy from my local party store. The tops are 2" circles  stamped with the Sparkly Season stamp set. The witch's spots are from the Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set.

The colours I used were: Whisper White cardstock, Basic Black cardstock/ink, Pumpkin Pie cardstock/ink, Cucumber Crush cardstock/ink, Garden Green cardstock, Rich Razzleberry cardstock.

Now, I usually buy jelly beans as they are the perfect fit, but this time around they didn't have the colours I wanted... so I went with these candy coated chocolate thingys... they were fine and all, but they didn't sit in a straight line because they were too small, and they didn't fit 2 across either, because they were too big. So they zig zagged in the package... not a fun look. So to prevent them from zig zagging, I made little cardstock trays for them to sit in. The trays helped a lot and also made it a whole lot easier to fill the tubes!

Happy creating everyone!
