Creation Station Blog Hop: Single Stamps

Hello and Welcome to another Creation Station Blog Hop! This week's theme is: Single stamps and Bag it Up! Use any single stamp and/or show creative uses for SU bags: paper or cello.

If you're hopping in, then you just came from the talented Jennifer Downey's Blog. If you're just joining, no problem! Just start here and follow the Creation Station's Buttons all the way around!

I decided to focus on the single stamp theme and I chose the stamp: Perfect Peacock. To be honest, I don't own this stamp. WHAT!?! I know, I know... it's horrible. But I just can't own it all... I wish, but no. Even though I don't own it, I do truly love it.

Ever since I borrowed the stamp, I've been wanting to emboss it in gold... It's so elegant and classy... so this time I did! I embossed it with gold embossing powder onto vellum cardstock.

I coloured it in with a blender pen and Night of Navy, Lost Lagoon, Island Indigo, Crushed Curry and Garden Green ink. I started off by only colouring the backside, but to get my colours a little more vibrant, I ended up colouring on the front as well. Because my embossing is on vellum, I decided to cut out another peacock from Whisper White cardstock and layer it underneath. This way nothing shows through and my colours stand out a little more.

Did you notice any new product on my card!?! Yep! I finally pre-ordered! You know, just in time for the new catalogue to go live! oh well!

The gold speckled background is vellum (mounted on pool party cardstock) from the Winter Wonderland Designer Vellum Stack. The gold and white stripes is washi tape from the Winter Wonderland Designer Washi Tape Trio and the ribbon is the new Garden Green 1/8" striped ribbon! Fun, Fun Fun!

Thanks for hopping in! Next up is the talented Kathy Kartak! Enjoy the rest of the hop!
