Remarkable You

The other night while I was playing in the craftroom, I decided to pull out my new stampset: Remarkable You. Have you seen this set? It is a bold, beautiful, floral set and I love it. I must admit that I don't tend to navigate towards floral sets but this one is different. Unique.  It's artistic, sketchy and BIG!

I haven't played with the set to it's full potential yet, but so far... I like it!

My flowers are stamped in Black Stazon ink onto Shimmery White cardstock. I used a blender pen with ink that was transfered from the pad to it's lid, to colour in the flowers. I used Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron and Wild Wasabi ink. I was going for a water colour look, so I kept it light and subtle.

I paired the flowers up with the Everyday Chic Designer washi tape. I liked how striking the black sketchy lines were on the flowers and decided to continue with the bold black patterns of the tape. I overlapped the Shimmery White cardstock and the Wisteria Wonder cardstock with the washi tape and I love the different shades it created.

To cut out the starkness of the white background, I stamped (2nd generation) Gorgeous Grunge in wisteria wonder ink and added some random Rhinestones.

Thanks for stopping in and as always, Happy Creating!
