The Forgotten Project: Sweet Laughter

Okay, so I don't usually post projects that use retired product... at least I try my best not to. Maybe a type of ribbon or a generic thank-you stamp here or there... but those items can easily be swapped with something comparable. When it comes to the main attraction, the item that makes the project, I always make sure it's current. Well... today, I'm going to break that rule and I'm sorry. I created today's project a while ago and was really happy with it, so I would like to share it with you. Creativity is creativity and who know's, it might inspire something different for you.

So I created this little treat package back in May for the Scrapbook & Cards Today Blog. It uses the stamp set: Sweet Laughter, which was from the 2015 Occasions catalogue.

The "Sweet Laughter" stamp set was more of a Mother's Day stamp set, but It did have this one image and saying that could be given to any recipient: a measuring cup.

Basically this little package is a box with no top. I stamped the measuring cup 3 times - Once on the box, once on Vellum cardstock, and once on a window sheet.

From the box, I cut out the whole cup, keeping the handle hole. From the Vellum, I only cut out the measuring cup's opening. I then lined up all 3 layers and glued them together, adding the handle hole back in. I absolutely love the dimension it creates!

I added in some hearts to accentuate the measurements and filled a treat bag will blue m&m's to represent the "water". To finish it off,  I tied it off with some Basic Black Baker's twine and added a little greeting tag.

Well, thank you for stopping, sorry it's a retired project, but I hope you enjoyed it just the same. Happy Creating!
