Sweet Snack Birthday Card

Do you like birthdays? I do and I don't. I love celebrating with people and making their day special... but I NEVER have a card on hand! If people know you make cards, store bought cards are not an option. Trust me! (Although, with the help of My Paper Pumpkin, I've been getting better, but that's a subject for another day.)

Well, I finally have a birthday card on hand for the next birthday. I created this cute little card with the "Sweet Stack" stamp set, the Cutie Pie Thinlit Dies  and the Brights Sequin Assortments.

I knew I wanted to use the ever colourful: Brights sequins, so I picked my colour combo from them. Old Olive, Real Red, Melon Mambo, Pumpkin Pie and Pacific Point. Each coloured balloon is stamped with it's coordinating ink.

To make my Balloon Bunch, I glued my balloons (no glue on the little "ties") on Whisper White cardstock. I then sewed Metallic thread around their "ties", then out from underneath and down. I doubled my thread twice (4 threads) for thickness.

For more colour, I added in the confetti of Sequins! I added a rhinestone to the center of each one for lots of sparkle!

To fancy up my background, just a little, I used the Basic Black DSP from the "Color Me Irresistible Specialty DSP". Love this stuff!

I must admit, I found the sequins hard to photograph, but hopefully you'll be able to see how colourful they are from my 3 different photos (click on them for  larger view). I have a feeling I'm going to be ordering them a lot! They are just so colourful and make me smile!

Happy Creating!
