No Bones About it: Teacher's Gift!

Have you ever created something that turned out way beyond your expectations... so much so, that it made you giddy? Well, that is totally me with today's project. I absolutely love how my projects turned out and every time I see them, I smile... Is that bad? Well, either way, I couldn't wait to share these teacher appreciation gifts with you.

First, I want to apologize that today's post has a ton of photos... I'm pretty proud and excited about my project, so... I might have taken a few too many pictures. Maybe... Lol! To help,  I combined many of my photos together, so make sure to click on my photos for a larger view.

Today's project is pretty simple and straight forward. No fancy techniques or elaborate embellishments. Just a cute and simple card kit made with the stamp set: No Bones About It.

I wanted to create a card kit for the teachers, that they could use to pass on their thanks or encouragement to their students. So I came up with the "RAWR! means..." Kit.

What's a "RAWR! means... kit"? Well... dinosaurs, although extinct today, had a lot to say and the cards included in the kit, help to pass along the message of RAWR!

My son's class had a Teacher and E.C.E, so I needed to create 2 kits. I was a little unsure of the skeletons in a kindergarten class, so I came up with 2 design. (I figured, I'd let them sort out, who gets which! ;) )

I made my kits out of the half wide, SU wood stamp cases. The cards are 3" X 4-1/2", which allows the coordinating envelope to fit in the case. The one thing I like about using the stamp case is that it has a plastic cover on the outside. You can slip your cover design behind it and give your project a very professional look.

Each kit contains 4 cards and 4 coordinating envelopes. One with each different dinosaur (of course!) The cards are clean and simple. On the front: I stamped a dinosaur and the word: RAWR! On the inside: I stamped the "RAWR!" along with the word "means", a blank line and the "in dinosaur" sentence. This allows them to customize and fill in the blank...

-"RAWR! means" You did a great job! "in dinosaur"

-"RAWR! means" Keep up the hard work! "in dinosaur"

or... -"RAWR! means" Thank you for helping! "in dinosaur"

So what do you think? Do you think a teacher would like this idea? To finish them off, I attached a gift card with some coordinating ribbon. I think they like them!

My first kit used the colour combo: Whisper White, Basic Black, Smokey Slate and Real Red. I used Black Stazon ink for the black as Momento ink was just not dark enough.

My second kit used the colour combo: Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, Lost Lagoon and Real Red.

All of my envelopes were made to size, using the Envelope Punch Board. (I Love it!)

Thanks for visiting and I hope I've inspired you to pass on the message of RAWR! too!

Happy Creating!
