Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Happy St. Paddy's Day! Do you have your green on? I'm not irish but I couldn't resist crafting up some green Irish fun!

If you follow me on Facebook you might recall me playing with the Simply Pressed Clay and the new Alphanumeric mold (see here).

I knew that you could add ink to the clay to change its colour, but I wanted to see if you could mix in other stuff, such as.... GLITTER!
Well... YOU CAN!

To be honest... I was playing with one of SU's retired coloured glitter, but I'm positive it will work with their current ones. I wanted to see if I good add enough of the green glitter to make it appear over all sparkly green. I'm amazed on how much glitter I was able to mix in but the colour wasn't striking enough, so I dropped in some ink drops and dyed it green. I'm impressed that I was able to add the ink after the glitter with no ill effects.

I made 4 hearts with the mixture and created my lucky clover.

To create my Ladybug, I used a circle form the Owl punch and drew a lady bug on it. Then I stuck on an Itty Bitty Accent Epoxy sticker! Don't you love how it just pops off the card!?!

Thanks for stopping in and have a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

  1. That's so cute, Martha! I just got that mold and now you've inspired me to get it out! I do love that ladybug and I'm going to keep that idea in mind. Great idea!
