Valentine School Treats

Happy Valentines Day! Well... day before Valentines... But if your like me and have school age children, then you probably sent your kids off to school today with their valentine treats in tow.

Today I'm sharing what I made for my son's class.

A while back a friend of mine came over for a stamp date and she brought along her stamp set: Hey Valentine! She was gracious enough to allow me to stamp out a whole bunch of the cute little bird images to make my son's valentines.

I wanted my son's treats to be gender neutral, so I kept to good, old, traditional red.
I coloured Mr. Birdie in with the Smokey Slate blendabilities, his heart: Cherry Cobbler blendabilities, his boots: Daffodil Delight blendabilities (the light shade), his beak: Pumpkin Pie blendabilities (the light shade), and the hearts on the back: Cherry Cobbler blendabilities (the light shade)
I cut the pennant image out by hand and then matted it with the pennant framelit from the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits.

To attach them to my 1" X 8" treat bags, I cut a slit in the center of the pennant. I then fed the treat bag through the slit and tied it shut with Basic Grey Baker's Twine.

Thankfully I started early and had all 25 of them ready to go this morning, and without rushing at the last minute. My son liked them and I hope all the kids did too.

Thanks for stopping in and Happy Creating!
