Love is Kindness

So, I must admit that I don't usually gravitate towards single stamps. I like having a little more options to play with... however I couldn't resist this new stamp: Love is Kindness.

Maybe it's my Dutch background and the tulips... maybe it's my love of colouring (blendabilities!), I don't know... but I had to have it.

I'm sure it comes to no surprise that I coloured it with SU Blendabilities! I use the Calypso Coral, Old Olive and Smokey Slate assortments. Did you see the new colours available in blendabilites!?! Yep! Wild Wasabi, Soft Sky, Bermuda Bay and Pink Pirouette! Fun! I hope this means we'll see other colours in the future!

I paired my image with a sheet of DSP from the "Stacked with Love" paper stack. It may seem like a Valentines paper but it can be used for so much more.

To balance out my card I added a strip of Whisper White cardstock and a scallop strip of Basic Black cardstock to the left side of my card. The scallop was created with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch (one of my fav's!). Then I finished my card off with some coordinating, Calypso Coral Chevron Ribbon. I love how everything coordinates!

Have a great day and Happy Creating!

Another Celebrate Today.

Hello and Happy Wednesday! Can you believe that January is almost over!?! Craziness, wasn't it just New Years!?!

So, I  really hope you like the Celebrate Today Bundle... as I've been crafting with it A LOT!

Today's card is just one of the cards we created this past Saturday at my Birthday Stamp-a-stack! When I was designing my stamp-a-stack, I tried to design a card for a Man, a Woman, a Boy and a Girl. This card I designed for a girls birthday. Bright colours, fun confetti, pretty bow and of course, sparkly gold!
My stamp-a-stack's colour combo was pulled from the specialty DSP: Birthday Bash! I love the colours used and it made it easy to design for both Male and Female recipients.

To create the confetti at the bottom of my card, I used the stars stamp but only stamped the edge, with a small portion of the stamp.

Happy Creating everyone!

Paper Pumpkin Love

Today's card is S-I-M-P-L-E. Actually, it's beyond simple!
I can honestly say that I created this card in less then 5 minutes and used very minimal supplies. But I love it!

I designed this notecard with this month's paper pumpkin stamps! I love them, especially the sketchy heart image! The best part about sketchy images: is if you goof up your stamping a little, which I did, it looks even better!

I didn't have to use my trimmer (notecard)... I didn't have to use adhesive... Nope! Just: stamps, ink and rhinestones!

Since my card came together so quickly I decided to make a second one for my son's lunch bag. This time I added an extra little detail to make it a little more personal. A strip of Silver Foil Cardstock with the word "YOU" stamped on it. I'm not sure which one I like better, but they were both easy to create. (Don't mind the poor photo, I took it with my phone before placing it in his lunch bag.)

Happy Creating!

Cheerful Critters!

Today I want to say Many Thanks to everyone for their wonderful comments yesterday! I certainly felt welcomed and apart of the team! I thoroughly enjoyed the hop and I can't wait until the next one on February 2nd!

Today's card features the new stamp set: Cheerful Critters (bear stamp), Crazy About You (many stamp), the new "Hello You" Thinlits (thanks - cut out) and the new "Mini Treat Bag" Thinlits (stars)! Yeah... I might have gone a little crazy with the new catalogue ;)

I absolutely love this little bear image and I couldn't resist using my blendabilities to colour him in. I used the Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana, and Pumpkin Pie marker assortments. I love how the markers coordinate beautifully with our cardstock.

Have a great day, and Happy Creating as always!

Stamp Review Crew: Valentine Free For All!

Hello everyone and happy Monday! I'm a little excited about today's blog post but at the same time... completely nerve wracked! You see... over the Christmas Holiday I was asked to join The Stamp Review Crew: a talented group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators sharing Stampin' Up! one stamp set at a time! They have over 20 members and have been hopping and sharing for over a year. Well, I gladly accepted and today is my first hop as a crew member (I hope I don't disappoint).

Today's hop is a little different. Usually the crew selects one stamp set and you hop from blog to blog, seeing different ideas with that stamp set... This time however they did a "free for all": Valentine Themed. A little intimidating as I have NO idea what others are going to do.

Well, I decided to keep it simple this time around, while I get into the swing of things with the crew. So without further adieu... My Valentine's Day Card.

My card today features a lot of the new product from the 2015 Occasions catalogue.

The hot air balloon is from the Celebrate Today: Stamp Set and Framelit Bundle. I love how this bundle isn't even marketed for valentines, but add a few hearts and choice colours and Voila!
My tiny hearts are punched out with the new Confetti Heart Border Punch and I LOVE the new Happy Heart Embossing folder!

Today's card also features a Sale-A-Bration item: the Irresistibly Yours Specialty DSP! I absolutely love this DSP. It's white with clear embossing on it, so you can colour it as you like. For my card, I sponge daubed the star pattern paper with Soft Sky ink, intentionally leaving areas untouched to give the look of clouds!

Well Thank you for hopping by, Next up is the talented Holly Krautremer! Enjoy the rest of Hop!

Treat Bags!

Today I'm sharing another one of my "Must Have" items from the New Occasions Catalogue.

It's the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits Dies and they are FUN! This die set comes with 2 dies that assemble this cute little package and then 10 other dies that co-ordinate with it!

Even though I didn't have a specific project or purpose in mind, I couldn't resist creating with my dies right away... but after assembling the treat bag I discovered that it was the PERFECT size to hold a notecard size card! It's a fun little card holder as well! I just had to throw together a quick example for you, so don't mind my card... It's nothing exciting, but it gives you the idea.

Another new item that I used for my treat bag, is this year's Sale-A-Bration DSP. Yep! That's right! you can earn this beautiful DSP for FREE! I love the colours in it!

Happy Creating!

Big Day!

Today I'm sharing another stamp set that you could earn for free! The "Big Day" stamp set is in the Sale-A-Bration catalogue and can be earned with a $60 order!

I'm also sharing new product from the Occasions catalogue on my card today: the chalk paper and chalk ink! SU is currently featuring 3 colours of Chalk inks from Color Box in their Occasions Catalogue: Aquamarine, Rose Coral and Yellow Citrus. When stamped on the New Chalkboard paper, they REALLY look like chalk, only they don't rub off!!! How awesome is that!?!

I didn't show it on today's card, but the chalk inks also look amazingly vibrant on white cardstock!

My card uses all 3 ink colours. I found that I had to double stamp the aquamarine to get the colour a little more vibrant on the Chalk Paper. I also paired it up with Bermuda Bay cardstock to bring out it's colour.

Happy Creating and have a wonderful weekend!

Celebrate Today!

Today I am sharing the "Celebrate Today" Bundle from the New 2015 Occasions Catalogue. Besides the new colours of Blendabilities (YEP! New Colours!!!), this bundle was my first "Must Have" item! It comes with a photopolymer stamp set and coordinating framelit and I love it!

I couldn't resist making a cute and festive shaker card with this bundle. The colourful confetti background is one of the designs from the New specialty DSP: Birthday Bash.

Inside the ballon I put in little golden stars that I punched out with the Confetti Star Punch! (Yep it carried over! Yeah!)

I love how my card turned out and I'm loving the gold foil paper right now! Took me long enough to play with it! Lol

Happy Creating!

It's a Wonderful Time of the Year!

O-mi-goodness, Why is it so difficult to get back into the swing of things after the holidays? This was my first year of having to get back into the school routine and boy-o-boy, It's been tough!  I was quite enjoying having my son and hubby home, no agenda, lazing around having fun. No lunches, no getting out of the house by 8:45, sitting around in our PJ's all day... Sigh...

Anyways... I'm back now and I have so much to share! During my holidays I spent some time in my craft room. First of all finding it, then cleaning it, and last of all: CRAFTING in it! Nothing new right!?! Oh but it is, because I was crafting with NEW Goodies from the 2015 Occasions Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration!

That's right! Sale-A-Bration as started and earlier this year! How fun is that!?! If you're new to the SU world: Sale-A-Bration is the best time of the year. It's the time where every one receives benefits for purchasing, not just hostess'. Every $60 order (before shipping and tax), earns a free SAB item. You can chose from Stamps, Ribbon, DSP and more! Also, there is no limit.

I gave you a glimpse of this card the other day on my Facebook page and it uses the beautiful SAB stamp set: Lotus Blossom. This stamp set is actually a 3-step Photopolymer stamp set. It has 3 images to layer stamp to create the beautiful flower. On my card however, I only used 2 of the stamps and as you can see it's still beautiful. The grass in the background was created with the stem of the flower!

Thanks for stopping in. Make sure to check out the New Occasions Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration items, you won't be disappointed!

Happy Creating!
