Spooky Straws

I was so excited to find these orange and black straws at the dollar store. I knew they would be perfect to showcase the spooky eyes in the stamp set: Freaky Friends!

Imagine a whole Halloween party decked out in this theme! You could do so much more then just the straws. Imagine: napkin holders, treat packages, banners and streamers. Coordinate the table cloth and cups and plates... I could go on, so much fun!

Because these decoration are little bulky, I did a little more assembley then just sticking them to the straw. I actually created a little holder that the straw could slide through. I even punched a hole in the front of the holder for the ribbon and sequin strands to attach through to cut down how far the decorations stuck out from the straw. I used a standard hole punch for the holes.

To get the eyes to stand out I used Versamark on Basic Black Cardstock and used Crushed Curry embossing powder. Fun!

Thanks for stopping by, make sure to check out some more fun projects and a chance to win the Freaky Friends stamp set on the SCT Blog.

Happy Creating!
