Creative Blog Hop

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope you are having a wonderful long weekend, enjoying time with family and eating lots of yummy food.

I am thankful for many things today... well everyday, really! I won't bore you with my long list of things I am thankful for, but I want you to know that you are on my list! You are! I am thankful for everyone who stops by, even when I've been slacking on posting. You keep me motivated to continue to share and inspire! Thank you!

So, today's post is a little different... Instead of being about a card or some other creative project, it's actually about... me. The TALENTED Teneale Williams nominated me for the Creative Blog Hop. If you have not been to Teneale's blog, you need to! Her blog is beautiful and her work is AMAZING! Thank you Teneale for the nomination! So, I have to answer 4 questions and then pass the honour on to 2 other talented people.

Question 1: What am I working on right now?
Honestly... nothing. EEK! This actually makes me sad. I HAD grand plans of crafting all week-end long, the kids were even at Grandma and Grandpa's this weekend... but come Saturday afternoon, hubby and I were chatting about how we should have really used our time without the kids to accomplish some much needed tasks... Next thing I know we've decided to fix up the bathroom... sanding, priming, painting, caulking: that's what I've been up to.

Question 2: How does my work differ from others in my Genre?
I'm not really sure it does... I guess some of my work may reflect my Fine Art and Graphic Design education. I know that I like to create outside the box, in different ways then what is dictated by the tool or stampset, so I guess that could set me apart from others...

Question 3: Why do I create what I do?
Because it makes me happy. I can be me when I'm crafting, I don't have to worry about what I look like for my stamps. I don't have to worry about what my inks think of me or if I've treated my paper socially correct. Stress is gone, I don't feel pressured and the things I create have nothing to do with anything else but me.

Question 4: How does my creative process work?
Well... first I touch my nose, then I turn around 3 times, then... Kidding! I've never really thought about how... I just do... I guess it depends on the type of project and what I want the end result to be. I love finding new and different ways in using my craft stuff, so a lot of my time is analyzing, experimenting and playing and then going from there.

Next I get to select 2 people that inspire me!

Anne Granger from Stamp With Anne!
Anne is not only a SU Demonstrator, but a wonderful person and friend. She inspires me everyday to pursue my creativity and to grow my Stampin' Up! business. She has adopted me, while me upline is away, and has motivated and inspired me to become what I am today. Thanks Anne!

Marcy Denning from Stampin' with Marcy!
Marcy inspires me because she's new! Not new to crafting but new to being a Stampin Up! Demonstrator. I see the excitement in her, that I remember when I first joined. She has beautiful work and I hope nothing but the best for he,r as I know she has a lot of talent to share!

Have a great evening and Happy Thanksgiving!
