Spooky Holiday Home!?!

Hello and welcome back to Monday! Did you send a little one off to school last week? I did and I'm happy to say I survived... I must admit it has been a bit of an emotional roller coaster, seeing my first born off to school. But he is happy and excited about school and I couldn't ask for anything else. Sniff...

So... let's talk Halloween. Does anyone actually send halloween cards? I love creating them, but I don't think I've ever given one out... Kind of silly of me to keep creating them, I know, but the Holiday Home Bundle is making it just too easy and fun to do!

The Holiday Home Photopolymer stamp set has everything you need to create Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and even New Home cards. All in one stamp set! How awesome is that!?! and if that wasn't enough, it has matching framelits! In LOVE! I KNOW!

For today's card I wanted my houses to be silhouettes in front of a spooky evening backdrop. I had originally just cut out Basic Black houses, but as I was designing I decided to add a hint of their details. The nice thing about the stamps being photopolymer, is that I didn't have to throwout my cut outs. The stamps are clear and I was able to stamp directly onto the cut outs and emboss them with clear embossing powder. Yeah! Paper wastage diverted!

To make my background image, I pulled out my sponge daubers, inks and circle framelits. First I cut out a circle for the moon. I used it as a frame/mask on my paper and sponge daubed in the moon. Once I was complete, I took the actual circle cut out and covered up my moon and then proceeded to add in the sky.

Thanks for stopping in, and have a creative day!
