Christmas Tags

So... are you getting tired or disappointed in seeing simple, nothing too exciting projects from me? I do apologize... my crafting time has been minimal as I'm trying to squeeze in as much as I can, this last week of summer. My little baby is off to school next week! (Sniff sniff! Someone hold me!)

Although my designs are straight forward and nothing elaborate, I hope they will inspire you and allow you to step yours up!

Today I'm sharing 2 christmas tags that I designed for my friend's downline meeting. I didn't have much time to design them as she asked me the morning of the meeting, but when she asked me to make them with my fav new stamp set: Santa Stache, I couldn't resist!

My tag base was created with the awesome tag topper punch! I Love this punch. you can make your tag any length and then just punch off a fancy top!

To colour in my guys. I used Old Olive, Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe, Blushing Bride, Smokey Slate and Basic Black Stampin' Write Markers.

I stamped my guys twice so I could cut out the mustache and pop it up with some Stampin' Dimensionals.

Thanks for stopping in and have a great day!

Endless Birthday Wishes

Okay... So let's talk about Birthdays...

You would think, as a card maker, that I would be prepared for every birthday under the sun...

But... no.
Not even close!

In fact... It's the one occasion I dread. I NEVER just randomly make birthday cards, so I never have any on hand.

When people know that you make cards, it is absolutely unacceptable to buy a card. (Trust me... they point it out!) "What!?! a store bought card!?!"

So... It never fails, the night before, I'm rushing around to make a card, feeling no creativity what-so-ever, wishing I made birthday cards on a regular basis...

Well...Today I'm sharing my latest birthday card, which of course, I created last minute, the night before.

It's not one of my best, but there's something about it that I like... I'm not even sure what.

I used the Photopolymer stamp set: Endless Birthday Wishes along with the stamp set: Pictogram Punches (the stars). I used Smokey Slate Ink for the stars but I stamped off twice to get the lighter look.

I, of course, used my blendabilites to colour the cake and coordinate the ribbon (LOVE IT!) I added a few rhinestones to bling it up, and Voila! Quick, clean and simple!

Happy Creating!

Boo!

Well, I'm not sure what my computer's problem was yesterday, but I stepped away and came back and now safari will access my page. Weird... anyways, sorry for the delay and here is a post.
Today I'm sharing a card with another sneak peek. A tiny sneak peek actually, as it's DSP I'm sharing and well... there isn't much showing, but just enough too be cute!

This card was a little difficult to photograph as there is stamping on the black. I stamped Gorgeous Grunge in Versamark on my Basic Black cardstock.

I cut out the word "BOO" with the Little Letters Thinlits and then layered pieces of the little ghost DSP behind it.

For an extra cute touch, I added some googly eyes!

Thaonks for stopping in and Happy creating!

Technical difficulties

Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you know that I am having trouble accessing my blog from my computer. :(
I am able to post from my phone, however I do not take pictures of my work with my phone so I am unable to do a post.
I hope to resolve this issues ASAP. However in the mean time, I apologize for the out of date "deals of the week" picture, but rest assure it will connect you to the current deals.

I hope to be back up and running tonight. I just need to pick a few brains and trouble shoot some more. If anyone one knows what I need to do or can help this Mac mamma, please please please contact me. Thanks.

My Holiday Catalogue "Stache"

"HO HO HO!" Check out my Holiday Stache! Yep, this stamp set: Santa Stache, is the one item I pre-ordered from the holiday catalogue. It was too cute to pass up!

Is it too early to post Christmas? Nah!!! I love Christmas crafting!

The other night, I connected up with my friend Heather Summers and stamped!

Well... sort of. Heather is away on a grand adventure with her family and is living in Australia for the year. As much as I would love to  say I visited her, I can't. But we do what we can to stay connected. I messaged her the other night and asked her if she wanted to stamp! This is how the conversation went:

Okay, so we had our parameters (Santa Stache, Whisper White, Real Red and any of the new In Colours) and off we went stamping... in our own craft rooms.

I must admit, that it took EVERY BONE IN MY BODY, not to colour with my Blendabilites. But I know Heather has minimal supplies, so I stayed true to the parameters.
You're probably thinking I cheated with Santa's face, but I didn't. I promise. I used a Blender Pen, Real Red and Hello Honey Ink.

I simply squeezed my ink pad before opening, to transfer some ink to the lid. Then with the blender pen, I coloured out the ink on my lid, until it was a light colour. I coloured in Santa's cheeks and then with an even lighter red, I coloured around his face. Then with a very light version of Hello Honey, I coloured over top of the red. Voila - Skin tone! I also used the same method to colour the white with a little bit of Lost Lagoon.

Make sure to check out Heather's card! It's super cute as always! Thanks for stamping with me Heather and thank you, for once again stopping in! Happy Creating everyone!
