Flower Patch Card Set

First off, I would like to say thank you! Thank you for all of the kind and wonderful comments about my projects on Scrapbook & Cards Today. I am feel'n the love!

Also, Thank you for all the wonderful comments left for Linda Yamamoto and I on Scrapbook & Cards Today. The Blog. It's fun and exciting to be asked to design and yet, at the same time, very nerve wracking, (especially for a big company like Stampin' Up!) So it's nice to know, we've done it right.

Today I am going to share my Box Card Set. I love making little packages of cards to give away and I couldn't resist making up a set with the Flower Patch Bundle.

One thing that wasn't shared on Scrapbook & Cards Today, was the cards. My cards are really simple and nothing to fancy about them, but I still think they're beautiful.

In order to fit the flower and leafs on my 3 x 3 cards, I die cut the coordinating flower out of regular lined paper and used it as a mask. Usually you would stamp your image first and then mask it, but because the framelits are a little bit bigger then the stamp images, I actually laid my mask down first, stamped the leafs and then stamped in the flower. THANK GOODNESS for photopolymer!

After creating my cards, I thought it would be cute to have them peeking through the envelopes and box, like a "crate" of flowers, fresh off the farm. I created my envelopes and box with the envelope punch board.

To get the wooden crate look, I stamped my Hardwood Stamp in Baked Brown Sugar Ink onto Crumb Cake card stock and then sponged the edges with Crumb Cake ink.

To finish everything off, I tied my "crates" closed with some Linen Thread.
