Simply Sports

Yesterday a big box of goodies arrived, and I mean BIG!!! My first order from the new catalogue arrived and it included all of the Share product!!! You could say I have A LOT of cutting ahead of me, but I don't mind, it will be fun checking out all of the new product! I hope to have the shares cut and complete by the end of the week!

Included in my box was a few items for myself that I just couldn't resist ordering. My absolute "must have" item of the new catalogue was the Simply Sports Bundle. I love how iconic and versatile the stamp set is, and I have been wanting the Bitty Banner framelits, forever!
So, of course, I couldn't resist playing in my craft room last night and here is what I created! A cute little soccer, birthday card! I thought a soccer card was appropriate with the world cup going on. I don't follow sports, but my Facebook family is great for letting you know when something big is going on!

My card was created with the Circle Card Thinlit. I must admit, sometimes I struggle with designing these cards, but I'm pretty happy with this one! On the left hand side, I used my Hexagon punch to create the idea of a soccer ball and on the right I created the soccer field.

The ball and the greeting are both from the stamp set and the stars were punched out with a new punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack!

When the card opens, the player is there making a goal! Happy Birthday!! Fun! Right!?!

While creating my card, I asked my hubby what colour he thought of when I said score...

"I dunno, I don't..."

okay... besides green, black and white, what colour do you think of when I say soccer? I'm trying to figure out accent colours...

"Umm... light green... dark black? "

Yeah... Thanks! Gotta love husbands sometimes!

Well I decided orange... I may not follow sports but I am dutch! ;)

Thanks for stopping in and Happy Creating!

  1. This is so cute! I was excited to see this stamp set too, but I wasn't sure how I'd use it. LOVE what you've done here!
