Out Doors-y Card

O-MI-GOODNESS! I have been HORRIBLE with my blog the last few weeks! Tsk Tsk! I've actually created 4 cards this week... and taken pictures... I just haven't sat my butt down to post them! Anyways...

Today's card is actually a Hybrid creation. I designed it in My Digital Studio, printed out all of the components and then assembled it with some cardstock and embellishments.

When I'm making a hybrid card, I design the whole card on my screen... So if I'm going to use Crumb Cake cardstock in real life, I place a Crumb Cake rectangle on my screen to represent it... Does that make sense? Today's card is pretty much all printed, but sometimes you only want a little digital component, so I find it easier to visualize by creating a digital mock up.

Once I have my card digitally created, I insert a duplicated page and break apart the components. I would like to say I do this neatly and in some sort of organized manner.... but I don't. I just throw them all over my page and print.

I created this card for a friend of mine, for her husband. She asked for an "Out Doors-y" card and soon after saying "SURE, no problem!" I discovered I didn't have much in the way of "Out Doors-y". But MDS does! Phew! The Outdoor Exploration digital kit was perfect!

Thanks for stopping in and have a great week-end!
