Hybrid Alligator

Good morning and Happy Monday. I hope that you had a wonderful week-end and that you were able to get some creative time in. I'm happy to say that I was able to get some "Kid Free" crafting time in yesterday, with a few close friends. Good crafting, good food and good company. I couldn't have asked for a better day and was worth how tired I am today.
So did you know that you can play with all 4 Sale-a-Bration Stamp sets, the Decorative Dots embossing folder image, Sweet Sorbet Designers Series Paper and the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack for one $60 purchase? Yep! One of the free Sale-a-Bration items is a Digital Ensemble of Sale-a-Bration product! I love it!

Today's card is created in My Digital Studio, using the stamp brush set: See Ya Later. I absolutely love the crop function in MDS as it allows you to cut bits and pieces out of your stamps and embellishments as you see fit. Today's hybrid card only uses the one stamp: See ya' later, Alligator... I just simply cropped the alligator out of the image and used him on his own and then used the greeting on it's own.

I copied and pasted Mr. Alligator 20 times and arranged him in rows to make it look like he was walking back and forth.

To get him to face the other way, I selected my alligator and then clicked on the mirror tool.

To get my alligator to "fade away" I selected each alligator and changed it 's opacity in increments of 5%. So the darkest one is at 100% opacity and the lightest one (under the heart) is at 5% opacity.

When I finished my design, I printed it out on Whisper White card stock and mounted it on a Gumball Green card base. To add a little sparkle I punch out a red glimmer heart with my owl punch.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
