Oh What Fun!

Good afternoon! Today I am sharing card #4 of my 5 card mailing challenge! I am having so much fun creating cards specifically for someone and knowing that I'm going to brighten their day!

For this card, I really wanted to send my friend a snowman. I know... kind of odd to do in october, but it's all good!

I don't have the current snowman stamp set, So I  whipped out my punches and daubers and created one of my own!
To create my snowman stencil: I used 3 scrap circles and laid them out on piece of scrap card stock to form a snowman shape. When I was satisfied, I traced around the circles to mark their position and then removed them. I then used my circle punches and punched them out accordingly!

Next, for the snowman: I spounge daubed, Wisteria Wonder Ink around the edges of my stencil, and working my way inwards. I focused more on one edge then the other, to give it a 3D feeling. To get the darker shading under each snowball, I took the coordinating circle punchout, and with my main stencil still down, laid it over top and sponged out from the circle. Does that make sense?
So... What do you think? He turned out a little darker then I wanted, but I still think he's cute!

I made him some warm accessories using the 1-1/4" Burlap Ribbon! I LOVE this stuff!
I drew in his eyes and mouth with a Basic Black marker and used a sliver of Tangerine Tango card stock for his nose!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Creating as always!
