An Autumn Thank-You!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of my Canadian visitors.

I must admit that Thanksgiving isn't really a big event in my family. We don't get all of the family together and have a massive meal or sit around watching football. I don't know why... It's just always been that way and has never had the importance like Christmas dinner does. Thanksgiving is more of a quiet day of reflection for me.

So, you've probably guessed by now that I don't really craft for Thanksgiving either. One day, I'd love to do the whole big Thanksgiving dinner, with place markers, napkin rings, centre pieces and party favours, but until then... I'll just keep pinning those ideas ;)

So here is card #2 of my 5 card challenge!

When I started this card, I was going in a whole other direction, with a whole other idea. But then this idea happened and I love it! I love how simple and modern it turned out and I hope the recipient does too.

The trees on my card are actually created with 2 different stamp sets, which is quite rare for me, as I don't tend to mix stamp sets. The chevron oval is from the stamp set: Oh Hello and the tree is actually the branch stamp in the stamp set: Take Care. The greeting is from the stamp set: Lots of Thanks.

My colours are Old Olive, Crushed Curry, Tangerine Tango and Early Espresso.

Thanks for stopping by, have a great Thanksgiving and a great long week-end!
Happy Creating!

  1. Wow, I totally love what you've done with these sets! I would have never thought to make that branch into a tree!
