Undefined!

Last night my Stampin' Up! order arrived and I was so stinkin' excited! This was the order that I placed RIGHT AFTER convention! So it has lots of treats and goodies in it! Not only does it contain some Memento Mall Items, (Love my new Convention Sweater!) but also some great new product that we saw at convention!

The one thing I was most excited about was the Undefined Stamp Carving Kit! They revealed this new product at convention and I was SO excited about it!
Have you ever gone to create a card and wished you had that one specific image? Well, It's those moments that Undefined is for! This kit literally allows you to create your own stamp! You draw up the image, carve it out and stamp away!!! What would you create? At convention, Shannon West already carved out the ultimate image of...BACON! AND she accompanied it with eggs!
How awesome is that!?!

So of course I had to play with it and this is what I created!
Now, I'm a perfectionist....so I did struggle at first. I was going to scrap this image because my lines weren't straighter then straight and I took a notch out by mistake, etc, etc. But my husband came around and saw what I was working on and just out of the blue, he said that he love how I made my crayon looked rough. Yeah....that's it... I did it on purpose! wink, wink! and continued on with the look! So what do you think?

The Undefined Stamp Carving Kit,
comes with everything you need:
* 2 Carving Tools
* 3"x 4"Rubber
* 3"x 4" Foam
* 4 Wooden blocks of various sizes
* 1 Island Indigo Stampin' Write Marker
* 3 Postcards
* Instruction Sheet
* and just incase ;) some image templates!

Well I'm off to create another stamp! If you would like to see more Undefined creations, check out Stampin' Up's Pinterest board! It great seeing what people have created!

Washi Tape Swaps!

Today, I'm sharing with you 2 awesome swaps that I received at convention! They are awesome because they are cute and easy! Once you have everything cut, they would come together SO quickly, to make MASS quantities!

These 2 cards were actually created by my good friend and fellow SU demonstrator, Anne Granger. I just had to swap with her, as I loved these 2 cards (AND... I wanted to copy them! shhhssss... don't tell her! Lol)

These 2 cards use the new washi tape from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue that starts August 1st!!!  Each bundle contains 3 rolls and they coordinate beautifully! I'm really impress how much tape you get and for a great price of $6.50 CAN.
I received each bundle at convention, so you know what I'll be creating in the upcoming months!

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to check back tomorrow for the start of my MDS weekly club! If you're going to buy the downloads anyways, you might as well get a little something extra for doing so! Have a great day!

Busy, busy, busy!

Well my household has been busy this week. I arrived home from convention a day later then planned and then Pake and Beppe (Grandpa and Grandma) came down to camp and visit for the week! Busy, but we've been having a blast! But enough about me, onto some creative inspirations!

As I mentioned, I came home from convention a day later then planned. Our plane had a malfunction and we had to spend another night in Utah. But that's okay, we made the best of it with sleeping, MDSing, and sharing some of the swaps we received at convention! Today I'm going to share with you some of the swaps my friends received. I apologize in advance, I took pictures of the cards but didn't even think to take pictures of the back, so I can't give credit  to the person who made it. If it yours Please let me know, so I can give you credit and link to your blog!

Love the colours used, the doily and splattered background.
Created by Lauren Hope!

A great little 3x3! Love the colours and the touch of glitter in the background.

Very vintage! I can't do vintage, so I love this.

I love all the images used and the mixture of papers. Great colour combination!

Cute and colourful! Love the embossing over the DSP.
Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!

6 Sided Sampler! Card Swap!

Here is my 4th and last card front that I created for convention swapping!

I got my inspiration for this card, from good ol'Pinterest!

My completed card originally had butterflies on it and a blank backgound. But when my good friend Heather came over with the new background stamp: Dictionary, I just had to add it to my card. I then decided that the Butterflies were too much. So as I prepped my materials for mass product, my card took a 180!

(Speaking of Heather... She was inspired by my original card front with the butterflies and made this Amazing Card! Check it out! I love the colours!)

My card also uses some stamps from the stamp set: Six Sided Sampler,  (Love it! I so need to get this set! Thanks Ashley for letting me use yours!) Which, I then punched out with the coordination hexagon punch!
The black branch was cut out using the Big Shot and Sizzlet: Little Leaves by Stampin' Up! I love how it looks like a Silhouette!

Thanks for stopping by again! Happy Creating!

Rev Up The Fun! Swap Card!

Today I'm sharing another card front that I created for convention swapping.

I think this one might be my favourite card swap.

For one: It's a manly card, which I think a lot of people (including myself) struggle with,
and two: It uses the new and fun stamp set: Rev Up The Fun!All images are from this set!

My swap also features the new Chevron Ribbon (which I cut to follow the chevrons) and one of the new Washi Tapes from the Epic Day This and That, Washi Tape Bundle!
Well, I hope you like my swap and that it inspires you and your next manly card!

Have a great day!

Sunshine Always Follows The Rain!

I am really excited to share my Pillow Gift Swap with you today, as  I am really proud of it! I created it with MDS, which is kind of amusing for me, since the last time I went to convention, I was not impressed by the idea of Digital Crafting...

Here's a little back story:
4 years ago, right around this time, a group of ladies and I were doing the same thing: heading to convention. On the way there we were talking about My Digital Studio. It was new and coming out soon. I didn't understand why anyone would ever want to digitally scrapbook and I quote "I wont get MDS..."
Well wouldn't you know it, out of everyone in my group, I won a copy of MDS! Needless to say, I fell in love and never looked back! I hope my Pillow Gift shows you just how versatile MDS is and inspires you to use it in more of your crafting projects.

So here it is! I created this adorable (if I do say so myself), little key chain. It uses the Digital Downloads: April Showers, All Time Fav Photo Book Template and the MDS logo that comes with program!
I printed everything out onto Shrinky Dink, Shrinkable Plastic sheets for Ink Jet Printers. This stuff is great! It's printable on both sides, allowing my trinkets to be double sided. It shrinks to a third of it's size, into a thick piece of plastic giving it durability and you can print it and shrink it at home, allowing you to craft in you PJ's ;)

The package of Shrinky Dinks comes with instructions but basically: I printed my images out on both sides, I cut them out (side note: our paper trimmer wont cut through it), I punched the holes in them, put them in my toaster oven and watched them shrink. After that, it was the tedious task of assembling, and yes I made 25!

As you probably already noticed, my banner has a wave to it. One thing that's nice about the shrinky material is that once it shrinks and you take it from oven, you have a few seconds to manipulate it. It hardens as it cools, but REALLY quickly!!! So, that's what I did. As I was pulling the banners out of the oven I quickly formed a wave into them with my fingers. Then I simply attached them with superglue!

So there you have it, my pillow gift!
I hope you like it and I hope the ladies who receive them do too.

Thanks for stopping by and GUESS WHAT!!!

TODAY IS CONVENTION DAY!!! (I'm writing this, just days before I leave, but I know...) I'm SO excited!!!
Have a great day and I can't wait to share so much with you!

Pillow Swaps, All Wrapped Up!

One thing that has become quite popular amongst convention goers is Pillow Gift Swaps!
I Think... the idea came from Stampin' Up! cruises, where individuals would come back to their rooms at night and find little gifts on their pillow from SU.

So, as I mentioned yesterday, There is a group of 20 of us heading to Convention this year! 2 people are from Australia - Hi Teneale and Barbara! 1 person is from Utah - Hi Leela! 1 person is from Alberta - Hi Christine! and the rest of us, are from London, Ontario and surrounding areas! Hi everyone!!!

So 20 people = making 19 Swaps! WOW! (Actually... we had to make 22 as a few people joined the swap but weren't able to make it to convention) I Know that doesn't seem too bad, but I like to be over prepared and I actually made 25!

I can't actually show you what I created... just yet!
We are swapping them out tonight and I don't want to ruin it for anyone participating in the swap, but for now, I thought I would share the little packages I made to pack them in!

Unfortunately, when the 2013-2014 catalogue was launched, we had to say goodbye to Stampin' Up's! Fabric, as it retired. But since it only retired a month or so ago and this is a pretty relaxed swap, I decided to use it anyways for my packages.

They are really small and really simple, but cute! Basically, they are a rectangle folded in half. It's raw edges are folded over and sewn, ribbon-folded and placed on one side and then sewn up!

Did you notice my little tag? When I say litte... I mean LITTLE! See it compared to a quarter! I would love to tell you how I made it, but I can't... Not yet! (Are you annoyed with me yet!) I also made my Pillow gift with it, so I want to wait and reveal it tomorrow!
I will tell you, that I created it with My Digital Studio and I made each tag, to match its fabric bag!

Thanks for stopping by, and Happy Creating, as always!

I'm Off to CONVENTION!

Omigoodness! I can't believe I'm on my way to Salt Lake City, Utah for the 25th Stampin' Up! Convention!

I AM SO EXCITED!!! I went to convention 4 years ago and it was amazing!  I can't even imagine how this year's convention is going to be, considering it's celebrating their 25th anniversary!

I'm heading down with a bunch of wonderful ladies and once   our entire group arrives in Salt Lake City, there will be 20 of us in total!

I made sure I had all my creations packed and ready to go! I mean, who cares about anything else, right!?! Lol

So make sure to check back in, because as you can see, I have plenty to share. I made up 108 card swaps , 40 - 3D Swaps, and 25 Pillow Swaps! I've pre-planned my post, so they are ready to go. Also... I really hope to up-date while at convention,
but it all depends on wifi access. I have it at the hotel, so if anything, I can post when I'm back there!

Make sure to join My Facebook Page for posts as well!

Happy Creating!

Flag it!

Wow! I can't believe it's been SO long since I last posted. I've been so busy getting ready and creating for convention that I haven't given by blog much thought! I am so Sorry!
The good news though... is now I have lots to share! So I hope you'll forgive me!

Today I'm sharing with you a MDS creation that I completely forgot to share with you.
Last month, my parents celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary and my mom had her 60th birthday. They planned a big celebration party for their anniversary and my (sneaky) mom tried to keep her birthday on the down low.
But my Sister and I were not having it! We got her balloons, a flashing button, my sister made delicious cupcakes and I
created these cute little flags.

I got the inspiration for these little flags from the balloon my sister picked out. I designed them in strips, got them printed and folded them over, cut down bamboo sticks (for shish-kabobs), as toothpicks were just to short for the size of my print outs.

Thanks for stopping by, even though it's been so long. Make sure to check back in the next few day, because even though I'm off to convention, I have plenty to share! I have 2 more swap cards to share, my pillow swap packages and of course my pillow swaps! Can't wait to show you!
Have a great day and Happy Creating!

Another Swap! And a Posting Test!

So I don't know how this post is going to turn out because I'm doing it on my new phone. I'm testing it out, because the hotel I'm staying at for convention has wifi and if this works I'll be able to post while I'm there! How fun is that!?! Who knows, maybe the convention centre will have wifi too and then I can post right away, of course that's If I'm not too caught up in the moment! Lol!

The card I am sharing with you today is another swap card. I made 27 of these ones and they came together really easily.

It uses the stamp sets: Delightful Dozen, Tape it, and Flower Shop.
Everything is stamped with Baked Brown Sugar Ink and I used Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White and Quatrefancy DSP. For accessories, I used Baked Brown Sugar 3/8" Ruffle stretch trim and a 1/8" Mini Brad.

Well thanks for stopping by and we'll see if this worked ;)
