Last Day of Waiting!

Wow! I can't believe that today is the last day of the 2012-2013 Stampin' Up! catalogue! It's been a great catalogue and I'm sad to see a lot of great stamp sets go. But... In saying that... I'm excited for the 2013-2014 Catalogue, and it starts tomorrow at noon!!! (EEEEK!)

So, in honour of both occasions,
I'm sharing a card that uses a retiring stamp set and a new stamp set!

I was kind of sad to find out that the stamp set: Up, Up and Away was retiring. 1- because it's a cute little set and 2 - because I bought it and never got around to using it! Lol. But with all of the wonderful colours coming out in the new catalogue, I couldn't resist pulling it out and creating a fun and whimsical card! It also goes perfectly with the new stamp set: Banner Greetings!

Well it's finally stopped raining, so the boys and I are off to the park for a play date with some our play group friends! Have a wonderful day and Happy Creating!

Taking Notes! Smash Book Page!

Today I'm sharing another page that I've designed for my smash book journal.

In July, I am going to Salt Lake City, Utah for the 25th Stampin' Up! Convention and I'm creating this book to document anything and
everything about my trip. I'm creating  this book as a base to journal in, to doodle in, maybe place some photos or ticket stubs in. I can't wait to get the finished book in my hands.

During convention, Stampin' Up is offering several classes that you can take to help your business. We're able to attend 3 classes, so I've designed this page for class notes. I copied this page and changed the title, the coloured letter and the coloured number for the different classes. What do you think?

Happy Creating for today!

Make Your Own Embellishments!

Well, as I promised yesterday, here is a MUCH better example of the clay and silicone moulds that Stampin' Up! will be selling, starting on May 31st!
Now you're able to make and co-ordinate your own embellishments with the new Simply Pressed Clay and The Buttons & Blossoms Simply Pressed Clay Moulds!
The clay is white, light and fluffy and not sticky at all. You're able to dye it, either by kneading ink into it or by colouring it after it dries!

On my card today, I've actually done both. The yellow flower was dyed using the Daffodil Delight re-inker and detailed with the Daffodil Delight Marker. With the Pink and Green flowers, I didn't have the re-inkers so I dyed them with my ink pad! Before opening my inkpads, I gave them a little squeeze, transferring some ink onto the lid. Then I just simply rolled the clay in the ink spot. I Then detailed them with the coordinating markers.

This card also displays some other new products! The New Designer Series Paper: Quatrefancy Speciality. The New stamp set: Mosaic Madness. The new colours: Smokey Slate, Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush! Are you EXCITED for the New 2013-2014 Catalogue yet!?!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Happy Birthday Banner Greeting!

It is amazing how long it takes for tomorrow to arrive.
"Oh I'll just have to post tomorrow"
"I'll do it tomorrow"
"Tomorrow. When I've got a moment"
"That's okay, I'll just do it tomorrow"
The next thing you know, it's been a week or two and tomorrow never came... Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Well over the long week-end, I was able to sneak away into my craft room and play with some of my new goodies from the Up and Coming 2013-2104 Stampin' Up! Catalogue.

I must admit that I kind of struggled with creating this time. I started feeling like I lost my card making mojo. I've been MDSing SO much lately that I felt like I forgot how to stamp and create with actually paper. But luckily by my 3rd card creation (which you'll see in a couple of days), I was feeling more at ease.

The card I'm sharing with you today, displays some of the new paper from the Designer Series Paper pack: Quatrefancy Specialty. Even the acetate card base is from the pack. The "Happy Birthday" Stamp is from the hostess set: Banner Greetings. This little set is really growing on me! Can't you just imagine all the possibilities with it! Little cupcake toppers or little banners!

The button is new too...
I made it!
Say WHAT!?!
Yup! Stampin' Up! is going to be selling silicone moulds and clay, allowing you to make your own embellishments! How fun it that!?! My button isn't the greatest example, as I was just testing the product out when I made this card. My next post has a MUCH better example and I will explain more about the clay and moulds then.
Have a great day and Happy Creating!

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to every women out there, who has ever cared or loved for a child!

I am having a great Mother's Day, but it's really been more of a Mother's Day week-end! On Friday morning, a beautiful flower basket was delivered. Yesterday
my husband helped me catch up on housework that had been SEVERELY neglected, (what can I say? It was just too nice out to be inside last week) which in turn gave me the time and energy to disappear into my craft room last night! Then this morning, I slept in and woke up to a beautiful picture done by Daddy, Greyson and Matthew! Yup it's been great! But I'm pretty sure you didn't stop by to hear about my Mother's Day, so onto the cards!

Today's cards are pretty much an exact case of a card in the New 2013-2014 Stampin' Up! catalogue! I had to change it up a little, as I didn't have the same greeting or the same punch, but other then that (and that I stamped it on Natural White card stock and used rhinestones instead of pearls) it's pretty much the same card. I loved it so much that I just had to recreate it!  Did you notice that my cards are actually sneak peeks? Yep! I created them using new products from the 2013-2014 Catalogue!

The stamp set is: Mosaic Madness,
which was punched out with the coordinating punch: Mosiac!
The grey is a new addition to the Neutrals Collection: Smokey Slate!
The yellow is a new addition to the Regals Collection: Crushed Curry! (it's returning!)
The pink is one of the 2013-2015 In Colours: Strawberry Slush!
and although you've already seen Island Indigo from the 2011-2013 In Colours, It's now a new addition to the Regals Collection!

So... Have you goten your pretty little hands on the 2013-2014 catalogue yet? If not, you really NEED too! Contact Me if you would like one as I still have a few left!

Have a great day and maybe you'll get a little crafting time in ;)

.... and yes... I did create these last night...bad, I know! Sorry Mom, MIL, SIS and FRIEND. They'll be in the mail tomorrow... Hopefully! Lol... Love you Guys!

Omigoodness! This week has completely flown by and this weather is NOT Helping! (but I'm not complaining!) I've had this card to share since Tuesday but Instead of sitting down and posting it, I've been spending the entire days outside with my boys!

I've been a SU demonstrator for almost 8years, but only as a hobbyist. I'm new to trying to make a business of it and I must admit I'm struggling with it. I have tons of class ideas and design ideas, but I'm struggling with time. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying I don't have time, as I'm a firm believer, that
if there is something you truly want to do, you'll find the time to do it. My Husband has been a great help and I'm doing more then I have in a LONG time. But I'm struggling because of my kids and not in a bad way. I love my kids. Matthew is 1 and Greyson is 3 and as they grow, I'm seeing how quickly time goes by. I fear the day that my sons no longer needs mommy's hugs or snuggles and the day I'm no longer the centre of their world. I have read many good articles and unfortunately some sad ones that have made me realize that we need to stop and enjoy the moments. I don't want my kids to think my laptop is more important or that I don't have time for them. So I hope you know, that when I don't post everyday, it's not because I'm not organized or that I don't care, It's because my family has come first and I hope you will respect me for that. Can anyone relate to this?

Anyways enough of me spilling my heart out and onto todays card. Here is another quick and simple card to create using your left over scraps! Once again, I only have DSP pads this year, but can you imagine this card with fancy colourful DSP!?!

This card took no time at all to create and the hardest part was stamping my greeting straight, which was only because I was too lazy to pull out my Stamp-ma-jig! Lol! Even creating the pennants were easy as I used my 1" square punch to create them!

Thanks for stopping buy and reading my little emotional blurb. I hope you have a great day and happy creating!

Did you miss Take 1 for using up your scraps? Check it out here!

USE UP THOSE SCRAPS! Quick and Simple!

Happy Monday everyone! Are you having a hard time crafting these last few days? I can't blame you! The weather has been absolutely AMAZING!

A couple of weeks ago, I went to the monthly downline meeting. This theme of the meeting: using scraps of Designer Series Paper. It may seem like an odd theme, but  for demonstrator, It's brilliant! With anticipation of the new catalogue, Tina (our hostess), wanted to inspire us with ideas on how to use up our retiring product before we could no longer use them with our customers! She's a genius!

Even if you're not a demonstrator, this is a great idea. You may be spring cleaning and purging and throwing out your scraps because you don't know what to do with them. Well today's card is a quick and simple way to use up your scraps. This year I only invested in the Designer Series Patterns Pads,  but can you imagine this card in a fancy, decorative DSP? So many possibilities! I got inspiration for this card from pinterest. Thanks for stopping by and Have a great day!

All Natural

Wow! It's been a while since I've shared an actual paper creation! I've been so obsessed with My Digital Studio lately that I haven't given much thought to stamping. But yesterday, I needed to give my computer a rest, the kids were sound asleep, and chores
were done, so I decide to sneak into my craft room for a little crafting R&R.

I wanted to design with the new paper I ordered. It's called "Naturals Ivory" and believe it or not, It's not new. Stampin' Up! has had it and Naturals White for many years and I just kind of forgot about them. (how? I don't know!) The paper is made from recycled paper and is lightly speckled. It's beautiful!  I'm also loving the new 7/16" Natural Trim Ribbon from the Spring Catalogue.

I hoped you enjoyed seeing a paper creation for a change and that it inspires you, to jump back into your craft room. Although that may be tough with this beautiful weather ;)

Have a great day!

Loads of Fun! Sketch Challenge.

Hello, I'm so sorry about the late post. I was working on my post this morning when my son suddenly came down with a fever and all he wanted was his mommy. Thankful after lots of snuggles, a dose of advil and a little nap, he's feeling better, still a little warm, but happily sitting on the couch watching his robot movie.

Today's page is actually a sketch challenge from "Simply My Digital Studio Challenge" facebook group, ran by Heather Summers and Kimberly Van Diepen.

I love sketch challenges. You can use them exactly as is or as a starting off point! Either way, sketches are a great inspiration and get the creative juices flowing!

My page uses elements mainly from the Bday Under Construction Ensemble. I love that download and is by far my favourite...for now! Lol!

Speaking of downloads, yesterday was tuesday, which in my world means.... New Downloads Day!!! Make sure to check out this week's downloads!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
