Another Bitty Butterfly!

Have I mentioned how much I love the new Bitty Butterfly punch with the Papillon Potpourri stamp set? Lol.

This card was inspired by a card I found on Pinterest and then inspired me to do my birthday card.

You can't tell in my pictures, but this card is actually made of and stamped on shimmer paper. I love using shimmer paper, as it adds a touch of elegance and quality to a rather simple card.

Using the paper-piercing mats and poker, I made my stitching holes and then hand sewed them in with the Linen Thread.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope to share some MDS with you soon. Unfortunately my program seems to be lagging. I'm working on cleaning up my computer and making sure everything is up to date in hopes that it will help. Have a great day and Happy Creating!

Monkey Birthday Invitations

My family has finally received their invitations to Matthew's birthday party, so I'm happy to share with you the finished card using my punched monkeys.

I must admit, that I really like this card. It makes me smile every time I see it and that's just like my son Matthew. So Smiley!

To create Mr. Monkey, I used:
Circles #2 Originals Die, Large Oval Punch, Full Heart Punch, Circle Punch, Owl Builder Punch, Petite Pennants Builder and the circle punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack. The scallop behind him is from  the Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die.

The "You're Invited" greeting is from the new stamp set in the Spring Catalogue called "Oh, Hello". The banana is from the Oldie but Goodie stamp set: Sock Monkey! I'm sorry I used something retired, but It was too perfect not to use.

So... did you notice something odd about the greeting? Are you seeing polka-dots? Don't worry, you're not going crazy. I used theVery Vanilla, Polka-dot DSP from the neutrals pack for the background and this is what happens when you stamp or colour on it! Pretty neat eh?

Well, thanks for stopping by and as always...

Happy Birthday Butterfly!

This week-end was great…I was Kid-Free!!!
Don't get me wrong, I love my children, but a little down time is nice too. It's also nice to give your full attention to a task or finish something 100% and I'm happy to say that I accomplished everything I wanted to do this week-end!

It was also a great week-end, as I got to go out and celebrate my friends birthday with her. It was fun to sit and socialize with other adults and not have little ones distracting you every 2mins. Althought I find it funny that majority of the conversations were about our kids! Lol.

Today, I'm sharing with you the card I made for my friend! I am loving the new Bitty Butterfly punch with the Papillon Potpourri stamp set.
The pink square background, is my acrylic block stamped! (Great Technique eh?)
The branch is from the stamp set: Language of Friendship, and the birthday greeting is from the stamp set: Delightful Dozen!

Well, thanks for stopping by, and I hope you had a wonderful week-end.

Happy creating!

Matthew 8 Months!

The other day, I did a cute little "photo session" with my son for his 11 month photos.
I was able to get some really cute pictures and I REALLY wanted to do his 11 month page, But I decided I better catch up on his previous months before doing it.
So here I am with month #8! Now to do months 7 and 9, the 2 months that I'm not particularly thrilled with the photo's. Oh well. I guess that will be apart of the challenge.
I hope you're having a great day and please see below for a complete list of supplies!

A Cute and Little Card.

A week or so ago, a friend of mine asked for some help to cheer up her friend's little girl. The little girl is only six years old and is under going surgeries and chemo due to Kidney cancer :( She is home now, but due to the last surgery she is still feeling pretty crumby.

My friend Barb, designed her and her big sister, new sticker books and then asked people to mail or drop off stickers for them. Well, of course I wanted to help out. I made up these 2 little cards to include in their envelope of stickers.

I used the stamp set: For the Birds and the new embossing folder: Cloudy Day from the Spring Catalogue. As I was assembling my cards they we're feeling a little baby boyish, so I used my ribbon punch and added a strip of Glitter.

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Creating, as always.

Monkeys Gone Digital!

So I am happy to say that I got my 10 little paper monkeys designed into cards and mailed! I do plan on sharing them with you, but  I want my family to receive them first.

I don't usually go all out for parties. I usually just do the Invitations, cake and party hats, but I will admit that I would love to go the whole nine yards with coordinating water bottles,  labels and decorations. But time, $ and the fact that  a lot of it's just ends up in the garbage, keeps me from doing it.

But I'm ahead of schedule for Matthew's party, and this is the last 1st birthday for us, so I decided to make a Pennant Banner for some decorations. It's going to say Happy Birthday, but I didn't really think you needed to see the lettering.

I love that in My Digital Studio, you can create things, as if you were crafting in real world! I was able to recreate my punch monkeys exactly the same way I created them for the Birthday cards!

I can't wait to get these little monkeys back from the printshop to assemble. Don't worry, I'll make sure to post my completed banner!

Well I hope you're having a great day and as always...Happy Creating!

TA-DA! 10 Months!

Happy Family Day! I hope you are having a fun filled day with your loved ones.

Well I'm happy to share, that I have FINALLY finished a page in MDS! Thank-goodness, I was starting to think I lost my mojo.

Today's page is of my son Matthew at 10 months. I can't believe how time flies. In 17 days Matthew will be 1! I guess I should finish his 7th, 8th, 9th and 11th months pages soon.

When I first started this page, I was actually trying to participate in a challenge. The challenge was to use elements from only one kit. Well as you can see I didn't stick to the challenge and the end result couldn't be further from it. But that's okay! It got me MDSing and gave me the inspiration to complete a page.

This page uses a little bit of something from many different kits, so please check out my supply list below.

Have a great day and maybe you'll get some MDSing in too!

10 Little Monkeys

I didn't plan to post today. I had nothing to share as I'm still fiddling with a MDS page. (Eye roll... I think I've lost my MDS groove...)

But as Luck would have it, my son Greyson and I had a chance to play in my craft room today, so I started Matthew's 1st Birthday, party invitations!

It's a monkey themed party.  I found these adorable little punch art monkeys on Pinterest and I just had to make them

Now to figure out how I'm going to use them on his invitations. Lol

Punched Hearts, Stamped Hearts, Stitched Hearts!

Happy Valentines Day everyone! I hope you are spending it with people you love.

Today's card is all about hearts: punched hearts, stamped hearts and stitched hearts!

The stamped heart, which you can barely see in my picture, is from the stamp set: Hearts a Flutter in the spring catalogue.

The stitching, is all done by hand. I used the Essential Paper-Piercing Mats to poke in the holes and then I simply took a needle and thread and sewed them in. I love how the piercing mats match our punches!
Did you know, that right now you can get the Essential Paper-Piercing Pack free with Stampin' Up's Sale-a-Bration promotion? It's true! Check out  what else you could get for free here!

I hope you like my card today, It's a little bit of a different colour combo then I'm use to for Valentines day, but I don't think it turned out too bad.

Happy Creating!

A Razzleberry Splash Thank-you!

Last week I received this beautiful card in the mail. It was created by my very talented friend Jodie Olver.  You might recognize her name, as she was one of the 2010 Stampin' Up! Artisan award winners! Jodie, just recently gave birth to the most beautiful baby girl - Callie, and these were her thank-you cards. It is elegant, yet simple. Reproducible and inexpensive. Everything a busy momma needs them to be.

The DSP is from the Simply Scrappin Kit, Razzleberry Splash. It is a beautiful kit. I love the little details she has added to the card, such as the scallop border and the strip of card stock underneath the sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by today, I hope to share some scrapbook pages with you later this week, as I've starting playing with my MDS again. (kind of lost my groove after christmas). Have a great day and Happy Creating!

Simple Feels Good.

Today's card is really quite simple and I'm actually happy with it!

It uses the new sayings stamp set: "Feel Goods" from the spring catalogue!
I must be honest with you, that this stamp set didn't really jump off the page at me or top my most wanted list... at first. I thought that the font was busy, hard to read and just too much. But I really liked the sayings and kept eyeing the set. Then I thought, maybe the sayings just look busy and overwhelming because they're all displayed together in one tiny spot. So... I took the risk, bought it, and I'm glad I did.

My card also uses the beautiful stamp set Papillon Potpourri. Only it's punched out with the new butterfly punch: Bitty Butterfly, from the spring catty. Isn't it cute?

One tip though.... Stamp your greeting, before going to the trouble of sewing on your card. Just incase it doesn't stamp straight...eye roll. Lol

Thanks for stopping by and as always, Happy Creating.

I've never been good... keeping a craft blog that is...
I really don't know how people do it EVERY single day.
Now a days, I'm lucky if I get into my craftroom to do more then just put stuff "temporarily" away in it and when I do, I have to clean up what I "temporarily" put in it.
I feel like I've become a collector of stampsets and dies, more then an actual crafter. Maybe I should invest in some display cases. Lol.

I could give you a slew of excuses on my lack of posting, but I think we'd both just prefer that I post something crafty! Lol! So here we go.

A while ago, my wonderful up-line sent me a little package for completing a challenge. It contained a little pre-stamped project, using a sampler of Sale-a-Bration products. She did include instructions on how to assemble it, but I lost track of them. So I improvised. Please click on the picture for a closer view.

If you like the Sale-bration products used in this picture, make sure you place an order between now and March 22, 2013. You'll receive a free Sale-a-Bration Item (of your choice) with every $60 you spend!
